Talkin' Compensation

"Straight faces, straight laces all down the procession line"

A Vanilla Gathering

Sittin' thinkin' lookin' around me
White faces all I can see
And I'm thinkin if my cheeks weren't a little bit light
There's a good chance that I might
Not help send this fella off to eternity

White faces all around as we roll him out of town
An homogenous vanilla gathering
No reds no blacks no browns came to lay him in the ground
This side of the grass they didn't mean anything

I wonder about this fella gettin' to heaven
I wonder how he thinks it's gonna be
Does he imagine heaven's gates
Dividing a group of vanilla saints
From the unchosen the unwhite the unseen

White faces all around as we roll him out of town
Sometimes I wonder do we all look the same?
What a shame for a fella's name
When he's planted in the ground
If nobody but homogenized people came

White faces all around as we roll him out of town
A line of cars following behind
Straight faces straight laces all down the procession line
And every face vanilla just like mine
And every face vanilla just like mine
