Marching Backward
Talkin' Compensation

Painted by illusionist Charles Allan Gilbert, Vanity is the only picture in my studio.  It was purchased on a warm night in New Orleans.

There were two major problems with our stay in the French Quarter that night.  One complication we encountered was keeping Sergio out of the voodoo lounges.  The other was the parking area.  The price of the hotel room included a rickety old parking garage.  Evidently, the bird that roosted above our Mercury that night shares a common ancester with elephants.  It took 30 minutes of scrubbing to make the car drivable.

All in all, it was worth it. Vanity turned out to be one of the best songs on the CD according to feedback I've received.  And then there's the painting on my wall, a constant reminder of what an illusion vanity is!
